Pumpkin Pickin'

Our annual pick a pumpkin that looks like you day at Wenger's Produce!

Brad was working and couldn't come this year so we invited some family/friends to come with us. Ellie and Dane had a great time!

They are sooo cute.

Plans are to carve them up next weekend. I have a special plan for Olive's :)

*Tomorrow is the preschool field trip to the pumpkin farm. Should be a good time.

The night started with a hayride, then potluck dinner, another hayride, a scavanger hunt for the kiddos, live music, and campfire. The best part is that this happens 2 houses down at our neighbor Kathleen's house so we don't have far to go.

* We had a great time. I love when I get to see her and Kirk and now that they have moved a little closer it will happen more often :) I'm thinking we plan a trip after the new year to visit them!

Sunday Funday & Friends

Sunday morning we got a call from The Banta Family inviting us to come along with them to Youngs Dairy for breakfast and then to the Urbana fair.

Sounded just perfect to me!

I've never been to the Urbana fair. It's so much better than Logan County's! The best part........The rides are included in the fairs admission!

On The Way

The trip down to Kentucky. So cute.

We met up with some friends last Saturday morning at a place called Super Games. For $7, less if you have a play card you get 2 solid hours of hard-core jumping play! Dane and his friends Taylor and Oliver were an exhausted sweaty mess when we left. Dane had so much fun running, climbing, jumping, giggling the whole time. We will definitely go back and I think we'll invited Dane's cousins next time, they would LOVE IT! They even rent it out for parties (wonder how much that costs?)

"Play" Birds

Brad got together with some of his friends to shoot clay birds.....aka "Play" birds if you're Dane. So after Dane's nap I took him over there so he could watch.

When they finished the box of clay birds it was on to shooting pumpkins.

After a few minutes Dane was bored of watching and kept himself entertained by playing in Brad's truck.

He was still alittle sick this day and I feel like you can see it in his eyes.

Thanks to Dane, both Brad and I came down with a mini cold shortly there after. It's not terrible, Brad has alittle congestion and a sore throat and I'm just alittle congested in the evening. I'm just glad it happened now and not next week for our trip to Indianapolis!

Brad had his 2nd procedure at the Dr. yesterday. It went well and the Dr. seemed optimistic that he'd gotten everything and we'll be done with this mess. Brad's feeling pretty good, just alittle sore today.

Preggo Update: 13 1/2 weeks. Still nauseous and exhausted. Hence the not posting anything for a week. That about sums it up.

Playdate

Dane had a playdate on Monday with a boy! He really needs some buddies that are boys. He plays all the time with his girl cousins and girl friends and lately Dane has been saying he wants to be a girl. Uh, That's alittle concerning and when asked Dane says he wants a baby sister. Huh, really?! Are you sure about that? I think it's just all he knows.

Anyway, A friend of mine from my college days moved back here from Florida. It's been years since I've seen her and she looks exactly the same! She came over on Monday with her little boy Dean and we had alittle playdate. I think they played pretty well together. We'll have to do it again sometime. It was good quality boy play without the mention of girls or being a princess :)

We took the playdate outside after awhile. It was a lovely sunny fall day with temperatures in the 60's. I wish it would stay like this. "sigh"

All you need for a good time is a few tractors and a big pile of dirt!

Dane has come down with a little cold. Bummer. I feel like he just had one not long ago! Where is he picking up these germs! Ugg. I hope I don't get it. He woke up today at 6:30am today and it was my day to sleep in alittle! Oh well. That's the life of a mom I guess. He's also a little clingy and whiny probably cause he's not feeling well.

What's new you ask? Brad's appointment to take more tissue is next week. I bet he passes out, he almost did last time. This should be very unpleasant, having a big hole dug out, both front and back. I would think it would be hard to get comfortable.

Preggo Update: 12 weeks and still nauseous. It lasted till 14 weeks with Dane, so hopefully I only have a few weeks left of this crap. I had another check-up. I find them annoying, can't I just come in if I have a question or I'm not feeling well? Anyways, it went pretty well. Dane came with me and we got to hear the heartbeat. I've only gained 2 1/2 lbs so far. I hope I can keep the weight down more this time, we'll see. I like my resisdent Dr. She's pretty laid back and the best part is she's alittle chunky!! Makes me feel better and I don't think she'll be on me about my weight and constantly lecturing me like that last Dr. was. HA! I love it :)

Rochester

Stopping to eat @ The Hard Rock Cafe in Niagra before heading to Ellen's house. Dane loved it there, he stopped to "Rock Out" at every guitar he saw! He also got on stage alot and busted out some of his moves for the other patrons.

Saturday morning stopping for breakfast and coffee @ Spot Coffee before heading to the Museum of Play. Realized while going through my pics that this is the only photo of Ellen and I together! Why didn't I think to have Brad take our picture, not like we see eachother all the time!

For 1$ you can ride this train. Seemed kinda steep until you realize is goes around like 10X! We're not completely sure that the museum employee wasn't just bored and let him go around more than he should have.

Playdate @ The Zoo

We decided to take advantage of the cooler weather and the fact that school is back in session to take Dane & Rylee to the zoo. It was really nice, not too busy, not too hot.

We stopped by the polar bear exhibit before we left. Turns out that's where most of the people were, it was packed! This is the best part about the zoo now. The polar bears are extremely playful and entertaining. Dane and Rylee loved to watch them jumping and swimming. I would love to go back again and get some pictures/video when there are less people around.

Up Up And Away!

We met up with friends and family Friday night for the All Ohio Balloon Fest. They had a record number of balloons this year, I think I heard 35!

Randi came and brought Cat and Mari!

It was hot, hot, hot when we 1st got there but when the sun started to set it was just perfect! I think Dane had a great time. He is so spoiled, Aunt Randi kept buying him balloons when his popped and Joel bought him a slushy.

Splash Pad Fun

Last Monday Dane and I went with my friend Jen and her two cuties Taylor and Lincoln to Springfield's Splash Pad. Jen and her crew had been a few times before but it was Dane and I's first time.

We had a great time and can't wait to go again!
