Zoo

Last Sunday we went to the zoo for alittle bit, and we had never stopped at the Animal Encounters area before so we decided to do that. They had a lizard and hissing cockroaches out which Dane wanted nothing to do with! He loved the bunny and the owl though.

Always a favorite, the elephants!! Just so happens, the one closest to us decided to poop and that was Dane's favorite part. He talked about it the rest of the day. "Elephant, poop!"

New Shoes

Dane's new shoes came in the mail a few days ago, so I handed the box to him in the back seat. He was so excited when he saw them that he ripped off his crocs and threw them across the car saying " Shoes, on" over and over!

We had to put them on before we could ever get out of the car.

Just admiring them.....

He raced all over the house saying "Fast!"
Ready, Set, GO!!

The Park

Today Kelvin and Catrina spent the day with Dane and I. So after Dane's nap we went to get some ice cream and play at the park.

The Kalidescope Park in Bellefontaine was perfect for Dane. It's huge and it has tons of little nooks and crannies for him to explore. This picture cracks me up, Dane peeking into the crack, and if you look close Kelvin has crawled into one of the little nooks behind him.

Baby Alivia

Brad, Dane, Randi and I went to visit my cousins new baby girl Alivia last night. She's just over a week old and so pretty. Dane really likes babies. He petted her hair and said pretty. In this pic, he just got done touching her little finger and he's showing Brad.

Baseball Glove

Dane loves baseball gloves, I'm assuming it started because of his grandpa's baseball collection room. He's been carrying around Brad's glove for awhile, but then his Uncle John gave him is own.

Here he is running fast!!
He looks so happy :)

Ode to Grandma S

When I was a kid my grandma had a big garden and I remember her making this zucchini casserole dish from her own produce. My grandma turns 90 next week and in honor of her, I took my own garden produce to make the zucchini recipe that's been handed down. It's so good!

I love you grandma, Happy 90th!

Per a couple requests, here's the recipe:
1lb hamburger browned/drained
1/2 onion chopped
1-2 zucchini or summer squash
2 carrots chopped
handful cherry tomatoes
1 jar spagetti sauce
dried basil
top with parmasean cheese
