Some Fun

Brad is getting called back to work soon. As in real soon. April 9th. He's going to be working kinda far from home. Circleville :( I mean it's not terrible. At least he will be home at night but it's at least a 80 minute drive with zero traffic issues. So with him working 10 hours days that would potentially put him home around 7pm. Not alot of husband/dad time.

So with that coming up we thought it would be nice to have 1 last fun trip. We chose to head to Cincinnati last weekend to visit The Newport Aquarium and stay in a hotel. We had a great time but the Aquarium was PACKED so they didn't allow strollers. Errr. Problem. They had you check in your stroller and lent you a baby back pack instead. Truth be told, these really didn't seem to take up much less room but whatever. Every time Brad would turn around we'd have to duck or he'd hit us with the back pack.

The hotel was super awesome! I've never had it work out so well. Our room backed up to the Ohio River so the view was gorgeous! Esp at night when the city was all lit up. A SUPER BONUS was that it was also the last room in the corner so it was quiet! I will be asking for this room again for sure!

This was our first trip with Olive too. She did awesome. Never fussed. Ate well. Slept awesomely. She was the perfect little travelor.

Seriously Cute Baby Alert

I cannot get enough of this baby! She's just sooo sweet and cute. I couldn't love her anymore. Just couldn't.

And is there anything more loveable than a cute little nekked baby body. I don't think so.

We took a little family fun trip to Cinci this tlast weekend. We had a great time. Pics to come of that later this week.

A Visit With Granny

I took the kids over to visit with Grandma S last weekend. We had a good time. They just loved getting to see her and I'm sure it brightened her day.

Olive seemed to have quite the affinity for Grandma. She would play some but then crawl back over to her and pull herself up on Grandma's leg to stand there and chat her up. Pretty Precious.

While there Grandma gave me a few pictures of me from 1983ish to 1984ish. One including the late Grandpa S holding me. I couldn't wait to get home and scan them into the computer so I could show you but for some reason my scanner mysteriously won't work! Dang. I'll keep working on it.

Fresh Air

This weather has been AMAZING! Is it really March? Olive gets outside for some fresh air and to experience the feel of grass.

She loves it!

In My Opinion, Much Better

I searched though hundreds of pictures so I could show you a before picture of this cupboard. Apparently this is the best I could come up with. So ugly I must have avoided getting it in any pictures. It was a hand me down freebee when we got married and so not our taste or style. My orignal thought being that I'd take it out and burn it when I gathered up enough money to replace it. 11 years later I finally got around to trying to spruce it up alittle.

1st: A coat of tinted primer.

2nd: A final coat of semi gloss charcoal grey.

3rd: New doors, hinges and pretty little knobs.

You might have noticed that we finally got chairs for our new dining room table too :) The dining room isn't looking too bad. Now if those lizards would only die and I could get that aquarium out of there!

I am on the lookout for dining room chair cushions. I need 6. I can't find any in stores or online that I like. Most prints are old lady like and I also need the fabric to be machine washable. I want a cool modern graphic print that ties to the chair and that I can zip off and throw in the wash. Is that too much to ask?! Next step I guess is to ask someone about making them for me. Suppose that's hard?

Baby Boyel Is Here!

Yea! Hollis Isaiah Boysel arrived Wenesday morning! So cute.

He was a whopping 8lbs 11oz and 20" long. Perfect cuteness and they get to come home today :)

Candy Dentures, LOL

My bestest returned from her family vacation to Costa Rica and brought be a present. Aww, She was thinking of me from so far away. Check out this little gem ;)

Yep, That's right. Candy dentures! Amazing. Who would've thought. Well, Apparantly, People in Costa Rica thought. Love this! Thanks Ellen.

Dinner

It's been forever since I've posted anything about food. We are still eating around here as evidence by my not so skinny self.

Anyways. I made this a few days ago for something quick and fun. Pull Apart Pizza Bread . I served it with pizza sauce for dipping. It was really quite tasty!

Lookin' Stylish

Olive is rockin' her new jean skirt and walking shoes! She's really showing off those teeth too. She has 5 now!

Olive had her 9mth well baby check last week. Little Miss is 28" inches these days (the same as Dane was @ 9mths) but only 16lbs and 12oz (Dane was 19lbs and 6oz)! She is long and lean!

Juno

Juno is almost 6 months old now. She's still very much a puppy! Having a puppy is more work than I remember but it maybe because I am already so busy. She is very tall. We had a feeling she would be. Her parents were both very tall. This tallness allows her to be even more mischievous, taking things off the counters/table with ease.

She also has some terrible habit that we are having trouble breaking.

The 2 most troublesome are....

1: Jumping on people

2: Jumping on the doors when she wants in. Grrrr.

However, She is a beauty.

Dane's Favorite Things
