Big Highs and Low Lows

Welp. 3rd night in a row of spending the majority of the night in bed with Olive. Holding her hair as she gags and pukes, wiping her sore butt as she has diarrhea again rubbing her tummy as she whimpers in pain. Poor doll.  What are the odds this escapes me?  Not good.

So, its amazing I had enough energy to do this

A PR distance for me. This quote was so true for me as my legs wanted to stop half way through. I ran with my heart.

GI Distress!

Dane started this mess last week. No doubt a germ he acquired in that Petri dish called Kindergarten. Brad fell victim 2 days ago and Olive last night. Poor babe. She has a pain tolerance of ZERO and cries pretty much all the time.

Good news is we transitioned her into her big girl bed yesterday because she started crawling out of her crib and I was afraid she was going to fall and hurt herself. Let's face it. She's a major clutz and it was going to happen.

Actually, the frame isn't quite ready yet so this is just the mattress and box springs on the floor.

Here she is....sick and napping away in her big girl bed.

Total miles ran this week: 18.1

New weekly goal......20 miles!

To Chicago....... And Back

I hopped aboard an airplane yesterday after work to attend all day dental conference in Chicago on Friday. We boarded the plane on time but left late as they decided to add more fuel incase we needed to hover before we landed because Chicago was having bad weather (as usual). Anywho, a hour flight left us hover above Chicago in a line of other aircrafts that were unable to land due to......FOG???  It was so foggy you could see out of the windows.  So we proceeded to circle around Chicago for another 30min when the pilot informs us that no one is landing in Chicago tonight and all flights for the evening are cancelled. So an hour later are now back to Columbus. Hmmmm. Interesting. I just flew in a plane for almost 3 hours only to end up going nowhere!

Sadly, something very similar has happens to us before on our way to Chicago for this dental conference. Only thing is we did make it to Chicago 4 hours later than we were suppose to and it was now after midnight before we got to the hotel. Not cool when you have to be up at 6am. So I guess this years trip was slightly better.

I veto any future trips to Chicago in Feb.

I don't usually photograph airplanes. This was for the kids.

Happy Love Day!

This is Dane's Valentine's Day box we made for tomorrows class party. Brad actually did alot of the work this week since he was off work. It turned out pretty cool and Dane loves it!

I'm working tomorrow so nothing romantic will be happening here but i hope you enjoy your Valentine's Day with people you love. I'll snuggle with my loves when i get home and look forward to sneaking some of Dane's Valentine's Day candy after i put him to bed. Haha

The Happenings

Ok. So something is wrong with the blog and I can't upload pictures from my camera. I haven't been totally a slacker. I have tried several times in the last 3 weeks to update you on the goings on. I can however upload from my phone.

Last night we had the cousins over so my brother could take his wife out for her birthday. They were dropped off with me at work and I brought them home with me. First thing first. Dinner. We took them down to Firehouse Pizza where they could also play on the firetruck while waiting for the pizza. Then we went bowling of which I have a cute picture on my camera that I can't show you. Bummer!

P.S. I really wanted to take them roller skating. Mostly, cause I LOVE it. It wasn't open. The place as crazy hours. Only Sat afternoon evening and Sun afternoon. Maybe we can do that next time.

When we got home from bowling we put on our cozy PJ's and played a game of Gooey Louie while munching on one of my sister in-laws uber delicious caramel apples. We were trying her newest flavor 'Snowball' which is caramel dipped, marshmallow dipped, chocolate dipped and then coated in pink coconut. It was YUMMY!

The best part of having older cousins.....hand-me down dress up clothes!
Olive lives in a tulle covered paradise.

She's is my super adorable muse. I can't resist her cuteness.

Also, Still running. Some outside but mostly treadmill miles. I can't wait till the weather breaks and I can get back outside. Mind you, it's not the cold that stops me. It's the snow and ice. I'd really like to NOT fall and injure myself.  In my head I'm training myself for a future half marathon but I've not registered for one just yet. I want to take it slow, do it right, get my ducks in a row, and conquer further distances first.

Anywho. 17.3 total miles this week. Not to shabby. My highest is 17.8 done back in Sept. I have a goal to break that soon.
