What a Cutie Patootie!

These were taken on the way to the pumpkin patch a couple weeks ago. He really likes to listen to Brad's work earphones and just looks so cute doing so.

And then because he's such a little charmer......he gives me a wink :)

On another note, PREGGO UPDATE: I HEART Ritz crackers, I keep them in the bathroom now. I'd sleep with them if I could but the package is too crinkly and noisy. I eat 4 or 5 of them ASAP in the morning as I'm showering and dressing for the day and it has helped me a ton. Thank god. The trick for now is to not let my stomach get empty, So every few hours I have to eat alittle something so I don't get nauseous.

Thursday night is Zanesfields Trick or Treat night. Dane's real excited. It starts at 6, it's gonna be a real rush to pick up Dane after work, feed him, dress him and be there by then. It's gonna be SO COLD too. Good thing his cosume is a toasty one. Not even sure Brad's gonna be able to make it, he doesn't even get off work till 6.

The Peanut

The ultrasound went good today. Just one baby in there, and with our family history it could have gone another way. Everything looks good and they kept the due date the same....The last week in May. The next ultrasound should be sometime around Christmas :)

Brad had 3 moles taken off a couple weeks ago and his appointment to get the stitches out was after the ultrasound. That went smoothly as well, until they realized they hadn't gotten the results back from the pathology lab yet. Brad was instantly suspicious. They called him later today with the news that they had sent his specimens to a pathology specialist so it was going to take a few more days. A pathology specialist?!........Uh Oh! Brad is already freaking out and I'm trying to play it cool but I'm secretly worried about it too. I mean how often does that happen to the same person twice?! But this is why he keeps up with these things.
Keep us in your thoughts.

Preggo Update: I'm feeling better about this pregnancy and the hopes that I could be having another boy. Morning sickness has progressed some, I puked again this morning. Errr. Make that 2x today as of 6:30pm. I can't get something to eat fast enough in the morning anymore to subdue the nausea. I have been feeling better throughout the day though which is really similar to how I was pregnant with Dane. Fingers crossed ;)

Full Moon Festival

Last night was Zanesfields Full Moon Festival. Dane was so excited to get his costume on, he is a shark this year. The festival is I think a fundraiser for the town's park. We parade through town and head down to the park to eat, play games and do a cake walk.

My little shark and I.

Parading through town.

Dane's friend Rylee came with her family too.

Rylee the ladybug. Super cute.

Momo and Papa Peterson stopped by to see The Shark!

A few notes on previous blog topics....

Our pumpkins have all but shriveled up! What the heck!?! Last years pumpkins lasted for weeks! I went out less than a week later to take some good light up pumpkin picture shots and they are not so cute anymore :(

I spent all afternoon yesterday working on cake for the cake walk. It turned out pretty cute, not as cute as I wanted though. It was a spice cake shaped like a pumpkin with cream cheese icing. I put the lid on before I took a picture of it to share with you and then was just too lazy to take the lid back off and walk across the house to get the camera. Oh well.

Preggo Update: I hung in as long as I could, but today I finally puked. Not sure exactly what happened but I got up, blew my nose, coughed and then broke out in sweat and ran to the bathroom. Yuk! Just like old times. Tomorrow morning is the 1st ultrasound! I'm excited to see the little peanut. Brad apparently forgot alot of facts about pregnancy and was super pumped cause he thought we were going to find out the sex tomorrow. Ha! He's so funny. I'm only 10 weeks and the baby is approx 1 1/2 inches long. This ultrasound it just to determine a more exact due date. What I'm looking forward to seeing is the heart beating appropriately with all 4 chambers.

Fall Fun

Carving our pumpkins. Dane wouldn't reach into the pumpkins at first and when he did he pulled out a handfull of the guts and said......."That's disgusting!" That cracked me up.

My niece Mari came over to carve a pumpkin too. She is tons of help with Dane and I love when she comes over. I was feeling not so good earlier in the day and she helped distract Dane for awhile so I could lay down. Thanks Mari, Love Ya!

Here she is intently carving her pumpkin. She did a great job, it turned out soooo cute!

Brad super serious and really focused on his pumpkin.

I'll post pics of the finished product later. When I took the photos after we were done it wasn't really dark enough and it's hard to see what they are. I'll go back out tonight and get some better ones.

* Preggo Update: I've developed a cold now and it's just awesome. Nothing is worse than being sick and unable to medicate yourself. I can't stand not being able to breath through my nose! I woke up extra nauseous today, I guess that's cause I woke to a belly full of the snot that drained down my throat last night. Ugg and blowing my nose makes me cough which then in turn makes me gag.

Ok. Enough whining.

Tomorrow night the Full Moon Festival in Zanesfield. Should be fun. I'm making a cake for the Cake Walk. It's gonna be super cute, if it turns out according to plan I'll take a picture. We also have a couple Halloween Parties coming up, one of which is tomorrow night too and we haven't came up with a costume for ourselves yet. Course, If I still feel like poo, I'm not going but we have another one next week that I need a costume for.

The Babies

4 of the 7 are actually looking at the camera.....not too shabby.

Zeke, Cat, Kelvin, Dane, Claire, Mari and Elise.

Hard to believe in 7months we'll be adding another one to the mix. I'm having mixed emotions even though it was planned on. I can't help but wonder if we made a mistake (that's sounds awful), Can I handle 2 kids? Will Dane handle it ok? Will he be a good brother? Should I have just let well enough alone? I worry I can't give Dane the same attention, and he'll feel left out. Etc. Etc. The worries go on. I'm sure that's probably normal.

But I should say, We're really excited too! Will it be a boy or a girl? Will he/she look like me or Brad? and I totally LOVE the baby stage. A cute adorable little squishy baby to hold, to sleep on my chest, to gaze at, to breast feed. I'm excited to see Dane's reaction, to have him hold the baby and give them his kisses.

*Today's my dad's birthday, Happy 59th Birthday Daddy!

BIG NEWS!

Yup, It's official. The news is out!
We're expecting Baby Grimes #2

I'm approximately 9 weeks along and I'm almost sure it's gotta be a girl. This pregnancy so far has been completely different. I'm WAY more exhausted (this could also be because I'm chasing a 2 year old around) but I'm also nauseous pretty much off and on ALL DAY LONG! Ugg. With Dane I would be sick in the AM, puke and feel great the rest of the day. This time I just really want to puke and think about it all day long. Good times.

P.S. Does it sound bad to say that I'm wishing for another boy? Cause I really am. Fingers crossed!

Pumpkin Pickin' Our Family Tradition

Something I plan on doing every year with my little family....U pick pumpkins at Wenger's Produce. We went this morning and had a great time. I LOVE pumpkin picking! What we do for fun is pick pumpkins that we think resemble us. Brad's is usually tall and slender, mine is short and round and Dane's is of course a smaller version of Brad's.

Dane ran around like a banshee picking out all sorts of pumpkins that he liked but wouldn't touch any of them....."too pokey"

He loves to help, he wanted to pull the cart everywhere.

Smilin' for the camera but not looking at it. That's kinda his MO

We're done! On the way back to have them weighed. I love when Dane throws his arm around us for a hug and a pic (and once again....smiling but not looking at the camera)
What a sweetie pie though :)

Tomorrow is pumpkin' carving time but for today we're getting ready for a birthday party at our house for my Dad, Grandma and niece Elise. Let the celebration begin!

Kabob It!

A yummy sticky marinade:

1/4Cup veggie oil
1/3Cup honey
1/3Cup soy sauce
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 cloves garlic

-Chicken, Onions, Mushrooms and Yellow/Orange Bell Peppers

Why do we not make these more often. They were really good. I served them over rice. I prefer brown rice, Brad likes white. So I mix the 2, half and half and it's perfect.

Can you tell which skewers were for me and Dane and which one's were Brad's? What a pain in the butt, he hates peppers so I had to make a separate marinade bag with no peppers. Ours were way better :)

He Did It!

My little man walked down the aisle! He did just perfect. He just walked so slow and careful. I didn't get any pictures though but I'm sure the wedding photographer did. I can't wait to see them. I did cry alittle, he was just so handsome and he did such a great job. I was very proud.

Breanna's aka "Nanny's" (as Dane calls her) wedding was so pretty with fall colors, gourds, pumpkins, and mums.

Here's a shot of the couple getting before pictures taken.

All dressed up.....definitely worth a photo!

These pumpkins dressed the wedding partys table.
Great job Tanner!

Mmmmm. The cake!
One layer chocolate, one vanilla and one pumpkin.
The pumpkin was SO GOOD!

Dane danced the night away!
I've never seen him boogy so much :)

Practice Makes Perfect.....Or Does It?

Rehearsing.

Dane walks down the isle so timidly. Very slow and unsure.

Wonder what will happen when he see's the church full of people? I already know, and I'll share those stories and pics for my next post :)

Awww, Daddy walks daughter down the isle.

"I do"

It was a really beautiful wedding and reception. More pics to come.

* I'm feeling much better now. Eating doesn't totally double me over now. Must of been alittle stomach ulcer or acid indigestion or something. Thank god it's over and life can return to normal....ish

Happy October!

I'm still here. Just busy this last week. Plus, I have a belly ache that's been hanging around for the last 6 days. I feel like poo and I don't want to do much 'extra' things. It's been about all I can handle to keep Dane happy and the house somewhat picked up. Hoping to be back up and running soon.

Dane is the ring bearer in Brad's cousin's wedding this weekend. Today was the final tux fitting and it doesn't get much cuter than this!!!! Be still my beating heart, how handsome! Tomorrow night is the rehearsal, I think he'll walk down the aisle with no problem. It's what he does when he gets there that I'm worried about. 2yrs old= short attention span

More pictures to come of the rehearsal, wedding and reception.

Happy October everyone!
